MCGP Foundation

The Men’s Club of Grosse Pointe Foundation was established in 2017. The purpose of the Foundation is to receive and administer funds exclusively for religious, charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes. The Foundation is tax-exempt under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code and contributions to it are tax deductible to the donor.

Each year, the Foundation’s board proposes and evaluates organizations for consideration as grantees of the Foundation, within budgetary limits. The Board primarily seeks worthy organizations which are local, but considers all reasonable grantees in the Metro Detroit area.

The Foundation encourages Club members to support its goals through contributions to it. Checks made payable the Foundation can be mailed to 32 Lake Shore Drive, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI 48236 or presented to any board member.

Additionally, please consider donating to the Foundation as part of your financial and estate plan. For example, a cash gift or a gift of appreciated securities would be most welcome, and would be put to good use. Please also consider amending your estate planning documents and naming the Men’s Club of Grosse Pointe Foundation as a beneficiary (and indicating that the gift is to be used for the Foundation’s stated purposes). You should consult your tax advisor about the advantages of lifetime gifts and gifts made as part of your estate plan.
