Thank heavens that 2020 is over and we have a new year and hopefully a total change in our lives for the better.
With this new year will come many changes that will positively impact our lives: the vaccine, freedom of movement, return of our children and grandchildren to the classroom, more jobs, an improved small business climate, and, above all, sociability without angst.
We look forward to when we can return to the War Memorial for our luncheons, glee club concerts, and actual live speeches from presenters. Although the War Memorial has informed us that we will not be allowed back until after remodeling is completed, our Alternative Site Committee is diligently investigating a different temporary venue. They will be reporting its progress at the next Board of Directors meeting on January 12, 2021.
Dr. Albernathy of Alma College will address the club via ZOOM at the club’s regular meeting on that same date at 11:00 AM.
The Board has agreed to make the old Senior Men’s Club badges available to the membership for a donation. The suggested amount is $20.00. If you are interested, please call me at 313-220-8315.
