     How are we kept safe?

On April 18th fifty members and guests of our Men’s Club learned how safety is provided by a vital federal agency:  the FBI.

We were warmly welcomed by a knowledgeable veteran of the Bureau, Mr. Will Council, the Outreach Director, who arranged our visit and has previously spoken to our Club.  We were guided to a large room where bottles of water and candies awaited us.

Videos and slides explained the activities of the Bureau.

Active participation was next as some of us did the work of detectives with finger printing and crime scene investigation.

Drama increased as volunteers put-on bullet-proof vests and prepared to go in harm’s way!

All along, Will Council and Henrik Impola, (Supervisory Special Agent) filled in details and answered numerous questions.

Prizes and souvenirs were awarded to those who answered the quiz on what we had heard.

It was an educational and enjoyable morning.

By 12:30 we were hungry and 30 of us were off to BobCat Bonnie's, a local saloon/restaurant for conversation and refreshment.  The word on the street is that a good time was had by all.
